Common questions
Do I have to log every purchase?
No — that’s the whole point. Expense Tracker is semi-manual by design. You enter the things that are regular (income, rent, subscriptions, a budget for the loose stuff) once, and the app does the rest. Individual coffees and one-off buys don’t belong here.
What is the Maxx Score?
A single 0–100 score built from three explainable parts: your savings rate, how heavy your recurring subscriptions are relative to income, and your net monthly margin. It’s a quick read on how well your money is working — and it moves the moment you cut a leak.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Expense Tracker keeps your data in your own private cloud space so it’s backed up and synced across your devices. You can create an account with email, or sign in with Google or Apple — it takes a few seconds.
iOS or Android?
Both. It’s one codebase, so the same features land on both platforms at the same time.
How much does it cost?
It’s free. No ads, no subscriptions, no paid tier — the whole app is included.
Is my financial data safe?
Your entries live in your own account and only you can read them. Data is encrypted in transit, there’s no analytics or tracking, and nothing is ever sold or shared. You can clear all entries or delete your account from inside the app at any time.
