Common questions
Do I have to log every purchase?
No. Expense Tracker is semi-manual by design. You enter the things that are regular — income, rent, subscriptions, and a budget for the loose stuff — once, and true up budgets from your bank app about once a month. Individual coffees and one-off buys aren’t meant to be logged here.
Do I need an account?
Yes. An account keeps your data backed up and synced across your devices. You can create one with email, or sign in with Google or Apple.
My data isn’t syncing between devices
Make sure you’re signed in with the same account on both devices and have an internet connection. Your data lives in your account, so signing in on a new device brings everything with it.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password?, enter your email, and you’ll get a reset link. Check your junk folder if it doesn’t appear. (Password reset applies to email accounts — if you signed up with Google or Apple, manage your password with them.)
How do I clear my data or start over?
To empty your list but keep your account, go to Settings → Data → Clear all entries. To remove your account entirely, use Settings → Data → Delete account. If you can’t reach the app, email me to remove your account’s data.
What is the Maxx Score?
A single 0–100 score built from your savings rate, how heavy your subscriptions are relative to income, and your net monthly margin. It’s a quick read on how well your money is working, and it updates as soon as you cut a recurring cost.
Can I change my currency?
Yes — Settings → Currency. EUR, SEK and USD are built in. Your numbers stay the same; only the symbol shown changes.
When is Expense Tracker launching?
It’s in the final stages before release on both iOS and Android. Both platforms share the same codebase, so features land at the same time. Follow @mrnickapps on TikTok for progress and release timing.
Reporting a bug or suggesting a feature
Email away. I keep a real list and prioritize based on what real users ask for.
