- Which mode and house you were in, and what happened
Common questions
The ghost keeps catching me
Keep the torch on it — a ghost in the light backs off, a ghost in the dark does not. Save battery by switching the torch off when you walk through empty rooms, and recharge at the yellow stations. The fire is safe: nothing comes near it. And listen: most ghosts make a sound before they are on you.
Co-op can't find the other phone
Both phones need to be on the same wifi network, and the host has to be in the lobby with HOST pressed before the guest looks. Some routers block phones from seeing each other ("AP isolation" or "client isolation") — guest wifi networks often do. Try the main network, or a hotspot from one of the phones.
The game is too dark on my screen
Turn your screen brightness up and, if your phone has one, switch off the extra-dim or eye-comfort mode while playing. The house is meant to be dark, but the torch cone and the fire should always be clearly visible.
My scores don't show on the online board
The board needs an internet connection at the moment you finish a run. Only your best in each mode is kept, so a lower score than your record will not appear. Set a nickname in Settings before you post — entries without one are not sent.
A purchase isn't recognised
Open the shop and tap Restore. Make sure you are signed in to Google Play with the account that made the purchase. If it still does not show, email me with your Google Play order number.
I want my online records removed
Email me the nickname you posted under and I will delete the entries.
Report a bug
Found something that should not happen? Email the steps to reproduce it, and a screenshot or recording if you have one. Every report gets looked at.
